Abstract
While the resolution of fluorescence microscopy has undergone a significant improvement in the recent years, reaching a few tens of nanometers [1], that of marker-free microscopes remains stuck at several hundreds of nanometers. Near-field probes and perfect lens concepts permit to break this limit, but this is done at the expense of the ease of use and applicability [2,3].
