Approaching the Quantum Limit of sub-Diffraction Incoherent Barcode Reading

Not Accessible

Abstract

We developed a quantum-inspired adaptive algorithm using spatial-mode-demultiplexing measurements to read incoherently illuminated barcodes at large distances. In simulations, our scheme accurately discriminates barcodes in 20x less time than direct imaging at a standoff of 1 km.
