Escaping the twin-image problem with the hybrid input-output algorithm

Abstract

The twin-image problem is sometimes a persistent stagnation mode of the phase retrieval problem. We show that one can circumvent the problem by using only the hybrid input-output algorithm with a large number of iterations.
