Abstract

We use nondegenerate four-wave mixing in hot atomic vapor to generate up to −7.1dB of relative-intensity squeezing between the probe and conjugate beams. This narrowband, multispatial-mode, squeezed light near an atomic resonance is of interest for image processing as well as experiments involving atomic ensembles.
