Doppler-free and Doppler-sensitive Ramsey spectroscopy in a continuous beam of cold atoms

Abstract

We briefly describe Ramsey spectroscopy using a continuous cold-atom source and continuous Raman fields. We account for unavoidable imperfections, including atomic and laser beam divergences and Doppler averaging, and show that Ramsey interference persists.
