Machine-learning detection of basal cell carcinoma in human skin using polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography

Abstract

We report results on the first automated detection of basal cell carcinoma in human skin using polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography. Our classifier achieves a sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of 92.6%, 87% and 90%, respectively.
