Clinical Assessment of the Fiber-Optic Sensor for Monitoring Vital Signs of MRI Patients

Abstract

We developed an FBG-based sensor to monitor claustrophobic reactions and reduce their effects in patients during MRI examinations. The sensor ability to acquire respiration curve and ballistocardiogram was assessed clinically involving 50 patients.
