Quantitative Effects of the Sagittal Sinus Vein on Occipital Cortex Measurements in Diffuse Optical Imaging

Abstract

We use Monte Carlo simulations to investigate the influence of the sagittal sinus vein on diffuse optical imaging measurements. Effects are characterized by quantitative additional partial volume errors computed with respect to a cerebral activation.
