Alternative Models of the Rotating Beam

Abstract

Rotating beams are usually analyzed under a Gauss-Laguerre modal decomposition. We examine rotating beam generation and propagation from a modeling perspective, using phase-retrieval algorithms and Hamiltonian ray-tracing, adding flexibility and insight to the design process.
