Generating Function Approach for the Synthesis of Multichannel Spatial Filters by Diffractive Optics

Abstract

Closed form generating functions of orthogonal polynomials were exploited to design optical complex spatial filters for multichannel coherent correlator. Fabricated computer generated holograms of orthogonal Laguerre-Gaussian modes provided set of quality correlation peaks in experiments.
