Light reflectance spectroscopy and auto-fluorescence lifetime: potential tools for intra-operative breast cancer margin detection

Abstract

This paper reports the use of light reflectance spectroscopy and auto-fluorescence lifetime for detecting breast cancer in human ex vivo samples. Preliminary results show significant differences using both techniques.
