Abstract

We demonstrate three-dimensional tracking of a gold nanoparticle held in optical tweezers in water using an in-line, low-coherence digital holographic microscope. A 60nm-gold nanoparticle had the axial movement of 7 nm in the standard deviation when the 1070nm laser beam with the intensity of more than 30MW/cm was focused with a 1.25NA objective lens.
