Abstract

Fast approximate digital hologram generation algorithm based on hologram partitioning and a single stage of the fast Fourier transform for each elemental hologram is proposed. Typical objective and subjective quality assessment confirms clear reconstruction comparable to that provided by the classical non-approximated algorithm.
