Brightness improvement by polarization modulation in the aerial imaging by retro-reflection (AIRR)

Abstract

This paper reports reflective characteristics of a variety of retroreflectors. The dependence of reflectance on the incidence angle has been measured in detail. Polarization modulation increased brightness of the aerial image with the best retro-reflector.
