Holographic data compression for holographic microscopy and tomography in biomedical applications

Abstract

Lossy/lossless compression schemes utilizing traditional image/video codecs for compression of image plane off-axis holograms are proposed for biomedical applications. The influence on metrological accuracy of digital holographic microscopy and holographic tomography is analyzed.
