Digital holography for the visualization of ZnGeP2 single crystal optical breakdown and prebreakdown processes

Abstract

Digital holography was used to study the formation of a breakdown track in ZnGeP2 single crystal. It was shown that dislocations play the role of “embryos” initiating the crystal destruction under the influence of laser radiation.
