Quantum Sensing in a New Single-Molecule Regime

Abstract

I will discuss the development of diamond-based ‘quantum sensing’ technologies and their applications to the investigation of biological systems. I will provide an introduction to quantum sensing, discuss application to control the temperature profile in living systems, and give an outlook on the development of a single-molecule NMR sensor.
