Photonic Quantum Processing in Diamond with Bulk Phonons

Abstract

Bulk optical phonons and molecular ro-vibrations have an array of interesting attributes, offering potential for exploitation in high-bandwidth quantum technology platforms. We have investigated a number of ultrafast systems, including molecular hydrogen and bulk diamond for quantum processing. Applications span random number generation, quantum memories, slow-light, frequency conversation, and photon statistics modification.
