Improvement of photon extraction efficiency from the nitrogen vacancy center in diamond pillars

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The negatively charged NV center in diamond pillars is one of the most prominent quantum sensors. However, the sensitivity is limited by the poor photon extraction efficiency. The goal of our work is to improve the photon collection efficiency so as to achieve new generation diamond nanoprobes with higher sensitivity.
