Towards room-temperature coherent spin-photon interfaces using diamond defects

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Diamond defects can have excellent properties at room temperature, but it is still challenging to achieve coherent spin-photon interactions. We analyze hybrid plasmonic cavities and spin-optomechanical transduction as two approaches to overcome this challenge. We show how these approaches can be successful and that they are within reach.
