Initialization and Readout of Nuclear Spins via negatively charged Silicon-Vacancy Center in Diamond

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We demonstrate initialization and readout of nuclear spins using a negatively charged SiV. The polarization of the surrounding 13C is done via NOVEL technique and readout via fluorescence detection of the SiV. We show that the coherence time of the 13C (6 ms) is limited by the electron spin-lattice relaxation.
