Two-component wind vectors from scanning, eye-safe, elastic lidar

Abstract

Wind velocity is a vector and the determination of wind speed requires knowledge of two horizontal components. This seminar will describe current efforts to develop and validate ground-based remote wind sensing using elastic backscatter lidar.
