Abstract

In this paper the solution to the Radiative Transfer Equation will be considered using the Pn Method. Although this technique has been applied to two and three dimensional problems it can be computationally expensive. In this paper results will be presented that indicate a potential solution to this problem by suggesting an adaptive Pn approach where the order of angular basis is varied according to the complexity of the domain. This will substantially reduce the computational cost.
