Analysis of different scattering orders contribution to the OCT signal from blood by means of Monte Carlo simulations

Abstract

Basing on Monte Carlo-simulated OCT signals from plain blood samples of various thicknesses the distributions of contributing photons over scattering orders were analyzed. Contributions of least- and multiple scattering, diffusive and non-diffusive fractions were estimated.
