Abstract

We propose a new method to mitigate intra-channel nonlinear impairments based on digital frequency offsetting between polarizations. We experimentally demonstrate the improvement of the maximal Q-factor by 0.8 dB for 50Gb/s PM-iRZ-QPSK signal over a 10,080km PSCF transmission line with the impact of bandwidth-narrowing by 25GHz filtering.
