Abstract

We describe the individual loss distribution measurement of 32-branched PONs using pulsed pump-probe Brillouin gain analysis. We describe the measurement of 32-branched optical fibers in a PON with a fault location resolution of 10 m and a branch length identification resolution of 5 m.
