Abstract

A new approach for monitoring dynamic all-optical WDM networks without incurring additional hardware is proposed by modeling the problem using linear programming. It can be easily implemented by extending the OSPF-TE protocol. The feasibility and stability are demonstrated by simulation of a 408-node multi-domain network with ten soft link-faults.
