228-GHz Coherent Receiver using Digital Optical Bandwidth Interleaving and Reception of 214-GBd (856-Gb/s) PDM-QPSK

Abstract

We build a dual-polarization coherent receiver with 228-GHz bandwidth that digitally interleaves six spectral optical signal slices. We receive a 214-GBd PDM-QPSK signal even after significant chromatic dispersion and polarization-mode dispersion (3200-km of fibre).
