A 105km Reach Fully Passive 10G-PON using a Novel Digital OLT

Abstract

A truly passive long-reach 10G-TDM-PON using digital OLT is demonstrated through 105km SSMF and 1:128 splitting with 5dB margin (51dB loss budget). The analog transceivers at the ONUs still maintain low system complexity and cost.
