Increasing the Resolution of Optical Spectrometers for the Measurement of Advanced Optical Communication Signals

Abstract

High-resolution optical spectrum analysis is essential for the measuring and monitoring of advanced optical, millimeter-wave and terahertz communication systems. A method for the measurement of power spectral density functions with a resolution of 5 MHz is demonstrated.
