Abstract

The lowest TDECQ values are achieved under PAM-4 operation with 4-dB extinction ratio in improved submicron-ridge-localized-buried-heterostructure DFB lasers at up to 85ºC among uncooled DMLs ever reported. The lasers can attain transmission over 2-km standard single-mode-fiber with CWDM wavelength.
