Simplified Phase Retrieval Receiver Employing Transmission Fiber for Alternative Projection

Abstract

We simplify phase retrieval receiver by directly using transmission fiber as an dispersive element. Performance enhancement is achieved by employing constant modulus constraint of 40-Gbaud QPSK and 8-PSK signal after 40-km single-mode fiber transmission.
