Model for Nonlinear Interference Noise in Raman-amplified WDM Systems

Abstract

An extension of the model of NLIN to Raman amplified links is presented, in the context of WDM systems. Noise estimation is obtained for an 80km amplified link with optimized pump placement, in co- and counterpropagating regime, for a C+L band configuration.
