Abstract

The highest relative core multiplicity factor of beyond 12 is achieved in a 125-µm cladding diameter uncoupled multi-core fibre by using a common depressed layer design. Feasible inter-core crosstalk below -40 dB/km and effective area over 80 µm2 in C-L band are successfully obtained simultaneously.
