Data-driven Optimization of Giles Parameters of Super L-band Erbium Doped Fibers

Abstract

Precise modeling of super L-band erbium doped fibers (EDFs) is more challenging than conventional C-band EDFs. We demonstrated a data-driven Giles parameter optimization routine that leads to significant precision improvement of the simulated gain and noise figure.
