Wavelength Path Reconfiguration to Reduce Fragmentation and Number of Operations in WDM Mesh Networks

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel wavelength path reconfiguration scheme that reduces the number of operations while retaining the effectiveness of defragmentation. Numerical evaluation shows that the number of operations is reduced by approximately 50%.
