A Novel Ingress Node Design for Video Streaming over Optical Burst Switching Networks

Abstract

An OBS ingress node design implementing the “Enhanced Scheme” is shown to decrease the degradation in video quality, without increasing the network load. Simulation results show an PSNR improvement of up to of 5 dB.
