Abstract

A low-power transceiver for optical interconnects, composed of 1.3-µm-range microlens-integrated optical devices and CMOS ICs, was developed. It demonstrated 25-Gbit/s error-free transmission with over-100-m multi-mode fiber (MMF) and low-power consumption of 9 mW/Gbit/s.
