Optical Mesh Networks employing Dynamic Transponders and Digital Back-Propagation at Higher Bit-Rates

Abstract

We report for the first time the impact of nonlinear and ROADM-induced penalties on heterogeneous 28 Gbaud PM-m-QAM traffic in a dynamic network. We further indicate the available benefits of single-channel digital back-propagation.
