Abstract

We present a novel 10G-EPON power saving ONU employing a self-sustained fast-lock CDR IC. With its self-generated quasi synchronized signal based bursty CDR loop control, a fast wake-up time of ONU within 497 ns supporting heavy duty DBA cycles was fully achieved.
