Near infrared remote sensing of atmospheric trace gases from ground and space

Abstract

Near infrared absorption of solar radiation is the basis for both ground- and space-based remote sensing of atmospheric composition. We describe the instruments and networks which provide global mapping of atmospheric greenhouse gases.
