1.5 μm cloud lidars based on single photon detectors

Abstract

Two 1.5 μm cloud lidars based on single-photon detectors are demonstrated. One is a polarization lidar using a superconducting nanowire single photon detector. The other equipped a multimode fiber coupled InGaAs/InP single photon detector.
