Abstract
A variety of reliable sources of non-classical light of useable intensity are now available in numerous laboratories around the world. The application of this light to other quantum-optical systems has naturally become a topic of great interest. However, theoretical studies of possible applications have, until recently, been restricted essentially to situations in which the statistical properties of the light source can be given in terms of Gaussian and Markovian (or white noise) processes.
