Abstract

Stimulated Brillouin scattering (S.B.S.) is a nonlinear process in which a frequency down-shifted (Stokes) signal is generated from the interaction of a pump signal with an acoustical wave. Several works have been recently devoted to the study of the dynamics of the first order Stokes generation.1-3
