Abstract
The vacuum-ultraviolet and soft x-ray laser radiation excites high-laying Rydberg and autoionization states of diatomic molecules as well as ground and first low-laying electronic states of the molecular ion. The theoretical and experimental investigations of the spectra of resonance processes in such laser fields are very important. The experimental observation of the short-wave resonance scattering (SWRS) spectra could carry useful information about the structure of the Rydberg and autoionization molecular states as well as about the form of the high-laying electronic terms.
