Abstract

The general theory of transitions from bound state to continuum in the electromagnetic wave field was first developed in Ref. 1. If the condition γ <1 (γ– Keldysh's parameter) is held the general expression for photoionization probability takes the form Here Ea=2mI3/eis the characteristic internal atomic field, I is the ionization potential, and E is the electromagnetic wave field.
