Abstract

Rapid experimental developments in laser technology enabling high temporal resolution of molecular processes have stimulated considerable interest in the direct solution of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation.1 KrF is an important molecule in laser physics.2 In the absence of an interacting laser field the KrF molecule will dissociate on a time scale of about 50 fs. The interaction of intense ultrashort (sub 100 fs) laser pulses with KrF can, however, strongly influence the dissociative reaction.3
