Tunable operation of an YSGG:Cr:Er laser

Abstract

Multiwavelength operation of an YSGG: Cr:Er laser in a dispersive resonator was studied. Lasing at 16 lines in the range of 2.61-2.92 μm was achieved. Different materials for a dispersive element were evaluated and tested. Using a special design of an electro-optical modulator, Q-switch operation with tuning over 4 lines was demonstrated.
