Abstract

Recently, the optical phase conjugation (OPC) is used for the compensation for the dispersion in the single mode fiber.1,2 In fact, in addition to the dispersion, the effect of the self-phase modulation (SPM) due to the Kerr effect on the optical pulse can be recovered by the OPC in the loss-less case.3 In this paper, we will show that the effect of the self-frequency shift (SFS)4 due to the Raman effect on the soliton can also be recovered by the OPC in the lossless case.
