Soliton-pulse control in the optical fiber with periodically modulated core diameter

Abstract

The control of the soliton interaction in long distance fiber communication lines and the development of new techniques for soliton-pulse control in various fiberoptic systems1,2 are important problems. It is shown that the inhomogeneous waveguides are suitable for these purposes.
